What to Expect
Each pregnancy is different, and our treatments are tailored to meet the unique needs of each mother to help her feel and be well.
While lying in a fetal position, you’ll be supported safely and comfortably with a side-lying bolster system that provides gentle support for your head, neck, chest, torso (baby bump), hips, and legs.
What Are the Benefits?
Massage is a therapeutic, completely safe, natural, drug-free method of relieving the low back of aches and pains. Receiving frequent prenatal massages provide an experience of ease, relaxation, safety, comfort, strength and endurance throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. Prenatal massage helps prepare the body for delivery by loosening the pelvis and ridding the body of excess tension prior to the onset of labor.
Add-Ons
In a fast-paced world, it's easy to forget to slow down. Your parasympathetic nervous system guides your body into a state of rest and restoration—conserving energy, centering calm, and encouraging healing for your mind and body.
10-Minute Scalp Massage
A 10 minute scalp massage provides a calming effect to the mind and helps ease tension headaches.
Gentle pressure stimulates circulation, promotes relaxation, and leaves you feeling refreshed and clear-headed.
10-Minute Rest & Recovery
AFTER MASSAGE CARE
Pause. Breathe. Ground.
This complimentary after-massage add-on gives your nervous system time to settle. Enjoy 10 uninterrupted minutes to rest, nap, or simply be before returning to your day.
Extra Hot Towels
Each massage comes with one hot towel compression on the back. Add two additional hot towels for feet or hands compressions for a deeper relaxation experience.
15-Minute Magnesium Foot Massage
This luxurious add-on includes a warm towel compress followed by a 15-minute foot massage with rich, silky magnesium cream to soothe tired feet, ease tension, and deeply nourish the skin.

Expect to be in a side-lying, fetal position. This position allows the massage therapist to access your hip, IT band, piriformis, and sciatic nerve areas, which are often the areas causing strain during pregnancy.
You’ll be supported by a bolster system that will support your legs and hips, abdomen (baby bump), head, and neck. This will align your entire body safely and comfortably.
Undress to your comfort level. You will be covered and draped by a top sheet that will ensure privacy and comfort throughout the massage.
Your breast will be draped for the optional choice of an abdomen massage.
Customize your massage. This is YOUR time to practice mindfulness, rest your body, and relax your mind. Select your choice of music, level of conversation, and where you would like your massage therapist to spend more time and focus on.
Cream or lotion will be used during the massage. Your skin is more prone to breakouts during pregnancy, and oil tends to clog your pores more easily than lotion or cream.

Massage on healthy tissue should feel wonderful. The normal response is to slow down, breathe deeply and relax. If you are sensitive to touch, your massage therapist will use gentle but firm pressure to calm your nervous system, gradually preparing you for deeper touch.
The saying “no pain, no gain” is not true for massage and bodywork.
The most effective and deepest massage works with the body’s natural responses, not against them. Working in the area of an injury or chronic pain may at first cause some discomfort, which usually lessens in the first few minutes. Always tell your therapist if the pressure feels too deep. The massage therapist can modify the approach to minimize pain, and will work carefully within your comfort level.
-
Yes, you can! While going into labor or being in labor may cause a mix of anxiousness and excitement to meet your baby, massage provides a nurturing touch, which promotes the release of emotional and physical tension. Massage assists in the movement of hormones in the body, such as Oxytocin, Serotonin, Endorphins, and Relaxin. These hormones help both the body and mind prepare for labor by giving you a sense of trust, confidence, calmness, and euphoria (to mask physical tension).
-
Some women are ready for their first postpartum massage immediately after delivery. Whether or not you’ve had a C-Section or any other interventions, it is up to YOU to decide when you are ready for your first massage.
-
As of now, we are only offering traveling services to postpartum women in the greater Cincinnati area.

I say, wear what feels best and comfortable. If you decide that you would feel more comfortable wearing clothing during your massage session, I suggest wearing clothing that is loose fitting. If you decide that you are not wearing clothing during your session, still wear clothing that is easy to get into and out of.
Avoid wearing makeup and jewelry.
